Pete Harmston - #16 Rev Doctor Mazda RX7
Born in Charters Towers, Queensland, Pete was always going to be a racer. From a young age he was always car crazy, and had his first car well before he was old enough to have a licence. It was a Mazda, naturally enough. Pete also had plenty of motorbikes in his teens and raced motocross and stadium-cross before switching to 4 wheels full-time, and in fact taught Paul Bartolo how to ride a motorbike - the deal being Paul then had to teach him how to drive a manual car the same day.....  |

Paul Bartolo - #28 Chaparral Racing Mazda RX7
Born in Newcastle, New South Wales way back in the early 70's, Paul has always been a keen follower of most sports. Whether it was V8 Supercars or Formula One or more traditional sports like Football and Cricket, Paul has always known what was going on. Unlike others around him that started racing at an early age, Paul didn't actually begin his circuit racing career until the age of 31, but has never looked back. Before then Paul's motorsport experience totalled about a dozen trips down the old Eastern Creek.. |
